In the fall of 1996, Tim Chestney had a double-double as a member of the Incarnate Word soccer team.  He was named an NAIA All-American Scholar-Athlete for his work in the classroom, and he was voted second team NAIA All-American for his efforts on the soccer pitch.  The previous season, 1995, he was honorable mention All-American on the field.

After playing four years at UIW, 1993 through 1996, he completed his eligibility as the all-time leader in games played (95) and assists (65).  Those marks continue to stand, now 10 years later.  On the all-time points listing, he is seventh with 121.  In 1996 his 24 assists led the nation.  Three times his UIW teams played in the national tournament and in 1997 he was named to the Umbro Select College All-Star Classic.

Tim received his degree from UIW in 1997 in the field of communication arts. He graduated with cum laude honors with a 3.5 grade point average.  He played one year of professional soccer in Austin.  He holds a USSF “B” National Coaching license and an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.  Currently, he is director of coaching for the Lake Travis Soccer Club in Austin.
