Javier and Jonas won another national doubles title, this one the Rolex Small College title.  He even played one season with the UIW soccer team after his tennis eligibility was done.  He received his UIW batchelor’s degree in the spring of 1998 in the fields of international business and business administration.

A native of Mexico, he now resides in Mexico City.  He worked four years in sales with Aceites Industriales.  For the past five years he has been a marketing representative for Nike in Mexico City.  Among his duties there have been work with the Mexico National Soccer team in advance of the 2006 World Cup competition.  Also, he is involved with a program between Nike de Mexico and Fundacion Merced.
