JUNIOR SESSIONS

Junior Sessions came to play on October 4 as Incarnate Word won its first football game of the year and Sessions became the male co-athlete of the week.

In the win over Houston Baptist from his running back position he carried the ball 22 times.  He gained a net 118 yards to top the magical 100-yard barrier for the first time this year.  He also had his longest run of the season of 20 yards.  In fact, other than a fake punt run for 23 yards that 20-yard scamper was the longest of the year for the team.

In the victory UIW scored four touchdowns, two by Sessions.  In the third quarter he scored on that 20-yard run, and in the fourth he hit the end zone from three yards out.

Sessions is a sophomore from Mesquite High School.  He is studying business.  He will be on the ballot for male athlete of the year next May when UIW coaches and athletic administrators make that selection.
