DENZEL LIVINGSTON
 
Denzel Livingston continued to put up Denzel Livingston-like numbers as the basketball Cardinals had a perfect week and as a result he is the Incarnate Word male athlete of the week for November 17 to November 23.
 
The Cardinals won a pair of games, including a road win at Princeton which is a perennial contender in the Ivy League, and Livingston was all over the stat sheets.  He averaged 19.5 points with a high 28.  He averaged 9.0 rebounds and led the squad both games in that category.  He had a double-double of 11 and 10 at Princeton.
 
In other areas he averaged 2.5 assists, 1.5 blocks and 2.5 steals.  He shot .385 from the field including 6-11 on three’s and he was 13-15 at the free throw line for .867.
 
He will be on the yearend ballot when coaches and athletic administrators vote for male athlete of the year.
 
Livingston is a senior guard from Houston’s Waltrip High School.  He is studying general business at UIW.
