Austin Jordan closed the fall golf schedule in a rush and for the second consecutive week he is the outstanding male athlete at Incarnate Word.
 
In the timeframe October 27 to November 2 he once again led his Cardinals team in a tournament.  Four outings this fall, four times he has had the low score.  This time it was The Classic hosted by Texas A&M-Commerce.  Jordan finished tied for second; the Cardinals as a team were fourth among 13 entries.
 
In finishing in the runner-up slot here is what Jordan did.  In the second and final round he fired a 65, seven under par.  That is a new UIW record for a single round.  That 65 combined with a first round 73 gave him a total of 138 which tied the all-time UIW record for a final score in a two-round tournament.
 
Jordan is a senior from Rainbow and he is studying economics at UIW.  He will be on the ballot at year’s end when UIW coaches and athletic administrators name a male athlete of the year.
