University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

ANGELIQUE VIDAURRI
 
The volleyball Cardinals went to the Grand Canyon University tournament in Arizona to close out the 2014 season and Angelique Vidaurri was named all-tournament for her four-match performance.  Now she is the Incarnate Word female athlete of the week for November 17 to November 23.
 
This is the second time this fall she has been the UIW weekly female leader.  She is eligible for female athlete of the year when coaches and athletic administrators vote next May.
 
In the four matches she averaged 15 kills while hitting .216.  She also had three service aces, nine block assists, and 16 digs on defense.
 
After all the positive points were added up she averaged a team best 16.9 a match. 
 
Vidaurri is a junior right side hitter from San Antonio’s Southwest High School.  At UIW she is studying financial planning.
