Noah Keats scored a goal in each game for the Cardinals over the weekend in Phoenix, AZ, including the game-winning goal against Wisconsin-Green Bay and for that reason he is this week’s UIW Male Athlete of the Week for Sep. 7-13.  Keats will now be on the ballot for the Male Athlete of the Year award that is voted on by the UIW coaches and athletic administration at the end of the year.

Keats scored the first goal in the opening game of the weekend against Sacramento State.  The Cardinals would lose 2-1, but Keats would quickly put them back on the winning track.  On Sunday, the Keats scored in the 70^th minute against UW-Green Bay to give UIW a 1-0 lead in a game they would eventually win 2-0.

The win boosted the Cardinals record to 3-2 on the season.  Keats has now scored a goal in four of the team’s five games and leads the Western Athletic Conference with three game-winning goals.

Keats is a senior from Exeter, England who is studying sports management.  The Cardinals are back in action on Friday night at home against Central Arkansas.
