DENZEL LIVINGSTON
 
The Cardinals men’s basketball team won a pair games between January 20 and January 26 and Denzel Livingston was the star of the show thus he is the Incarnate Word male athlete of the week.
 
In both games he led the team in scoring and averaged 23.5 points.  He shot 15-27 from the field for .556 including 3-10 from three-point land.  He also was 14-18 at the free throw stripe for .778.
 
His other averages were 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 5.5 steals.  He led the team both games in steals while leading once in rebounds, assists and blocks.
 
This is the third time for Livingston to be male athlete of the week.  He will be on the yearend ballot for male athlete of the year at UIW.
 
He is a junior from Houston’s Waltrip High School.  At UIW he is studying business.
