The Incarnate Word men’s tennis team had a perfect week and so did Leonard Ivic and as a result he is the UIW male athlete of the week for February 10 to February 16.
 
In a week when the Cardinals went 2-0 in match play, Ivic was undefeated in both singles and doubles. 
 
Playing at number two singles he won both his matches against opponents from Midwestern State and Texas-Pan American.  He won in straight sets against MSU and went to the third set before winning against UTPA.
 
Then, in doubles he and his partner played at the number one slot.  And both times they won convincingly by 6-4 and 6-2 scores respectively.
 
Ivic is a junior from Podstrana, Split, Croatia.  He is studying international business at Incarnate Word.  Now he will be on the ballot at the end of the schoolyear when UIW coaches and athletic administrators named a male athlete of the year.
