DENZEL LIVINGSTON
 
The men’s basketball Cardinals had a perfect 2-0 week November 18 to November 24 and Denzel Livingston was the leader while earning male athlete of the week.
 
He began by posting his personal career high 31 points and then followed that with 21 to average 26.0 for the week.  Along the way he shot 15 of 26 from the field for .577 including 10-17 on three-pointers for .588.  Continuing his hot shooting at the line he was 12-16 for .750.
 
His other numbers in the two games were 5.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals.
 
He led the Cardinals twice in scoring, once in rebounds and in both games he tied for the squad lead in assists, blocks and steals.
 
Livingston is a junior guard from Houston’s Waltrip High School.  He is studying business and kinesiology at Incarnate Word.  He is now eligible for male athlete of the year when next May UIW coaches and athletic administrators select that person.
