University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

For the fourth time this basketball season, and the third time in the last four weeks, Denzel Livingston is the Incarnate Word male athlete of the week.  This particular period is from January 27 to February 2.

Over a two-game week, both away from home, Livingston hit the 20-point mark both contests while averaging 21.5.  And he did not have to take a lot of shots for his .565 percentage (13-23).  Included in those totals were 6-13 from long range for .462.  Also, he was 11-18 at the free throw stripe for .611.

He averaged in other categories 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals.  He led the team once in each of rebounds, points, assists and blocks.

Livingston is a 6-4 junior guard from Houston’s Waltrip High School.  At UIW he is studying business.  Obviously he will be on the ballot in May when Incarnate Word coaches and athletic administrators vote for a male athlete of the year.
