She posted some personal career numbers in a three-win week for the Incarnate Word women’s basketball team and now Joslinn Douglas is the UIW female athlete for the seven-day period November 11 to November 17.
 
The three wins were all on the road and pushed the Cardinals to a 4-0 start on the year.  For the three games Douglas averaged 17.3 points while shooting 13-35 from the field for .371 including 3-8 on three’s for .375.  At the free throw line she was 23-31 for .742.  Her other numbers included 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.67 steals.
 
Twice she had double-figure points and both times she led the team.  At St. Thomas she led with her 18 points, five assists and two steals.  Those five assists tied her personal career high as did her five rebounds.  In a win over Texas Wesleyan she had her best-ever 27 points which included going 15-16 at the charity stripe.
 
Douglas is a senior guard from Austin’s Del Valle High School.  She is studying biology at Incarnate Word.
 
She now will be on the yearend ballot when UIW coaches and athletic administrators vote for a female athlete of the year.
