University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

Incarnate Word may have lost the game to the number five team in Division I FCS but that didn’t stop Casey Jennings from have a big night as a wide receiver for the Cardinals.  Thus he is the UIW male athlete of the week for September 16 to September 22.
 
On the night against Sam Houston State, a fellow Southland Conference school, Jennings grabbed a first quarter pass of eight yards and crossed the goal line to give his Cardinals a quick 6-0 lead, 7-0 with the extra point.
 
Jennings wasn’t done.  He managed to snag six total passes covering 87 yards and the one score.  One of his receptions was for 44 yards and that is the second longest pass-catch combination of the year for UIW.
 
Jennings is a junior wide receiver from Washington High School in Fremont, Calif.  He is studying sports management at Incarnate Word.
