University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

Gabrielle Estrada and Myah Antwi are track and field teammates.  They train together and they enter the same events.  And for March 31 to April 6 they are co-female athletes of the week at Incarnate Word.
 
At the Skecher’s Invitational hosted by SF Austin Estrada threw 39.37 meters (129-2) in the discus to finish tied for 10^th but more importantly that was a new UIW school mark in that event.  Who did she tie with?  Antwi, of course.
 
Additionally Estrada was in the hammer throw where she went out to 37.38 meters (122-7) for 14^th place.  That is the fourth best effort ever at UIW.  She began her day in the shot put where she threw 9.63 meters (31-7.25).
 
Estrada is a freshman from Boerne FEAST School.  She is studying communications at UIW.  She will be on the ballot when at year’s end Incarnate Word coaches and athletic administrators name a female athlete of the year.
