Cardinals face Power 5 opponent, Kansas State

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The University of the Incarnate Word women's basketball team plays its final nonconference game on the road against Kansas State on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. (CT) at Bramlage Coliseum.

CARDINAL QUICK HITS
JACKSON LEADS THE WAY AGAINST RAMS
In the game against Colorado State (Nov. 26), senior Victoria Jackson had a career night. Jackson led the team with 11 points, with a career-high 15 field goals (four field goals made) with two made 3-pointers. Originally a member of the UIW track and field team, this is only her second season as a member of the basketball team.

BIG WIN
The Cardinals' win over Schreiner (Nov. 5), was their largest margin of victory since 2017, when they beat Southeastern Louisiana 95-56 on Jan. 19, 2017.

TAKING CARE OF THE ROCK
UIW's five turnovers against Colorado State (Nov. 26), committing zero in the first half, was the least amount of turnovers in a game since the program moved up to Division I. The last time the team turned the ball over fewer than 10 times was at Houston Baptist (Feb. 28, 2018) when they gave up eight. The previous lowest number of turnovers in a game was at home against Central Arkansas (Feb. 13, 2016) when they only recorded six. UIW ranks first in the Southland Conference for fewest turnovers.

RECORD BOOK ROBINSON
Senior Imani Robinson has 988 career points as a Cardinal and is on her way to becoming the first player to reach 1,000 points since Ifunanya Mora (2010-14). She also ranks 10th in career field goals attempted (881), offensive rebounds (160) and games started (73). She also is in the career record book at UIW with 57 blocks (sixth), 279 free throws made (seventh) and 378 free throws attempted (11th).
