FRISCO, Texas -- Five members of the University of the Incarnate Word women's basketball team were selected to the Southland Conference All-Academic Team, the league announced Friday morning.
Making the list for the Cardinals were
Jorja Elliott,
Brynn Lusby,
Londyn Oliphant,
Madison Williams and
Raimi McCrary.
To qualify, a player must have a grade-point average of at least 3.25 through the semester prior to the sport's championship, completed at least one full academic semester at the nominating school prior to the current season and participated in at least 50 percent of games during the most recent season.Â
All five honorees easily cleared the 3.25 minimum GPA, with McCrary, a junior business administration major, leading the way with a 3.99.
Lusby finished with a 3.84 GPA, Elliott had a 3.79, Williams a 3.78 and Oliphant a 3.68.
