University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

Kyle Hittle scored a season high 31 points in a win at Rice last week and moved into the school’s top 10 list in career points and rebounds so he is this week’s co-UIW Male Athlete of the Week.  He is now eligible for UIW Male Athlete of the Year honors that are voted on by UIW coaches and sports administrators.
 
Hittle torched the Owls for 22 second half points to lead the Cardinals to an 82-76 victory on December 29.  He went 12-of-18 from the field and 6-of-8 from three-point range while grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out four assists.  He then tallied 14 points and six rebounds in a 78-72 loss to Sam Houston State in the Southland Conference opener.
 
Hittle is a senior from New Braunfels, Texas who is studying business administration.  He ranks ninth in school history with 1,286 career points and 472 career rebounds.
