David Moore was the second-leading scorer at the Iowa Hawkeye Swimming Invitational last weekend and he is the UIW Male Athlete of the Week for his overall performance.  He is now eligible for the UIW Male Athlete of the Year award that is voted on by UIW coaches and sports administrators.
 
Moore won both the 200 and 400-yard individual medley races in NCAA Division I ‘B’ cut times.  Individually, he was also the runner-up in the 200-yard butterfly and sixth in the 200-yard breaststroke.  He swam on the 400-yard medley relay team that finished in sixth place and the 800-yard freestyle relay team that finished in second.
 
Moore’s performance helped the Cardinals to finish a strong third place at the invitational.  He is a junior marketing major from San Antonio and attended Marshall High School.
