Autumn Lockley had two of her best performances as a Cardinal this week which is why she is the week’s UIW Female Athlete of the Week. She is now in the running for Female Athlete of the Year, which will be voted on by the UIW coaches and Sports Administration at the end of the year.
Lockley had solid play in the matches against Southland Conference leader, Stephen F. Austin, and Northwestern State. Against SFA, Lockley set personal records with 22 kills, 47 total attacks, and five total blocks. In Saturday’s match against Northwestern State, she continued her dominance with 18 kills on 46 total attacks and also added to defensive play with 15 digs.
Lockley is a freshman rehabilitative sciences major from Leander, TX. The Leander High School grad is the daughter of Garrett and Rhonda Lockley.
