University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

DENZEL LIVINGSTON
 
Denzel Livingston is on a roll on the basketball court and for the second time this season he is the Incarnate Word male athlete of the week.
 
His run has included five straight games of leading his team in scoring.  In three of those five games he has topped the 30-point plateau culminating with his season and career high 37 tallies in the lone game played during the period January 5 to January 11.
 
In that game at Northwestern State (La), he shot 12 of 21 from the field including four of 11 from beyond the arc.  He also was 9 of 13 at the free throw stripe.
 
For the game he had numbers in every statistical line on the box score.  He had four rebounds, four assists, one block and a team-high three steals.  He played 39 of the possible 40 minutes.
 
Livingston is a senior guard from Houston’s Waltrip High School.  He is studying general business at UIW and he will be on the ballot next May when Incarnate Word coaches and athletic administrators vote for a male athlete of the year.
