CHANCE DZIUK

Dziuk scored in a pair of events at the 2014 Southland Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships over the weekend.  He led the Cardinals with nine points and he had a season best toss in the hammer throw with a mark of 181-3.

Dziuk finished sixth in the hammer throw on Friday and then came back with a third place finish in the discus on Saturday.  He threw the implement 161-feet giving him the highest finish of any UIW male athlete at the meet.

Dziuk is a senior from Stockdale, TX and attended Poth High School.  He will now be included on the UIW Athlete of the Year ballot.
