University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

EMILEE WILLS
 
The synchronized swimming Cardinals won the South Regional championship and Emilee Wills was a leader in that accomplishment.  She is the Incarnate Word female athlete of the week for the seven days of February 17 to February 23.
 
At the meet in Florida Wills twice was a winner.
 
She captured the gold in the solo event with a significant margin of 2.6333 points over the second place finisher.  She also was a member of the Cardinals’ group which won the team event.
 
Not quite done, Wills and her partner combined to finish an honorary fourth in the meet’s duet event.
 
Wills and the Cardinals now move on to the US Collegiate Championships set for mid-March in Oxford, Ohio.
 
She is a freshman from Mesa, Ariz., and is studying rehabilitative sciences at Incarnate Word.  She is now eligible for the UIW female athlete of the year as chosen by coaches and athletic administrators.
