Women’s Basketball Starts Road Trip in Nacogdoches

SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word women's basketball team is set to visit Stephen F. Austin at the William R. Johnson Coliseum. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. 

How to Follow Along 

UIW 

  • The Cardinals enter the matchup in a three-way tie for the best record in the Southland Conference. UIW enters Thursday at 6–6 overall and 4–1 in SLC play after defeating the Huskies at home. The Cardinals 4-1 start in SLC play is the best conference start in program history.  

  • Jorja Elliott, UIW's leading scorer from a season ago, continues to pace the Cardinals offensively, averaging 10.3 points per game. Elliott also leads the team in both blocks and steals.  

  • Raimi McCrary, the Cardinals' top rebounder last season, anchors the paint this year, leading the team with 8.2 rebounds per game. McCrary is also second on the team in points scored averaging 9.8 per game. 

  • Madison Cockrell directs the offense for the Red and Black, leading the team with 33 total assists and averaging 3.7 assists per contest. 

 Scouting the Ladyjacks 

  • SF Austin enters Thursday's matchup with a 9–4 overall record and a 3–2 mark in Southland Conference play. 

  • Harmanie Dominguez leads the Ladyjacks in scoring with 14.4 points per game.  

  • Kaylinn Kemp facilitates the offense, averaging 5.0 assists per game, while also averaging 12.2 points per game.
