SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word women's basketball team travels to Stephenville, Texas on Sunday to face Tarleton State University for a 2 p.m. tip.
 
UIW

• The Cardinals are on a three-game win streak with victories over UTRGV, PVAMU, and Dallas Christian College.
• UIW is averaging 67 points per contest while holding its opponents to only 52 for the largest margin in the conference (14.8).
• The team also sits atop the Southland Conference standings for offensive rebounds, averaging 17 per game and in assists-to-turnover ratio.
• Aliyah Collins and Nina De Leon Negron are the two leading scorers for the Cardinals, each putting up 10 points per game and having 11 steals apiece. Collins has 18 assists on the season, while De Leon is averaging five rebounds per contest.
• Destiny Terrell is the leading rebounder with 6.7 per game, which puts her at number two across the conference standings.

 
TARLETON STATE

• The Texans have won two games this season, first over Howard Payne and most recently UTRGV.
• The victory over the Vaqueros and the loss to Stephen F. Austin put Tarleton at a 1-1 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) record.
• Center Faith Acker leads the team in points (13.3) and rebounds (6.7), only playing the last three games for the Texans.
• Teresa De Silva is also putting up double-digits for Tarleton with 11.7 points per contest. She also adds 10 assists, 11 steals, and two blocks this season.
