SAN ANTONIO – Sixteen student-athletes from the University of the Incarnate Word football team were selected to the Southland's 2022 Preseason All-Conference Football Team presented by B1 Patches. The Cardinals led the way with the highest number of selections.
 
"Being named to the preseason all-conference team is an honor, and I can't wait to see what they do on the field this fall," said UIW head coach G.J. Kinne. "They worked hard during the spring, and we are excited to compete to defend our Southland title again this season."
