SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word women's basketball teams hosts Western Illinois University (WIU) on Monday, Nov. 29, at 6 p.m. and Schreiner University (SU) on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 2 p.m. at the McDermott Center.
 
LAST TIME THEY MET

• This will be the first time the Cardinals have matched up against the Leathernecks of Western Illinois.
• UIW is 1-0 against Schreiner. The Cardinals won their only contest against the Mountaineers, 70-35, on Nov. 5, 2019.

 
UIW

• The Cardinals are 1-3 on the season with a win over Texas Lutheran University.
• Jaaucklyn Moore leads the team in scoring, averaging 13.8 points per game, and in rebounds, with 5.3 a game.
• Destiny Jenkins is contributing 11.7 points per game for UIW and leads the team in steals with 10 on the season. In the Cardinals' last game against University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), Jenkins recorded a career-high 21 points.
• Tiana Gardner and Destiny Terrell are averaging seven points per game for the Cardinals.

 
WIU

• The Leathernecks are 5-1 on the season with Notre Dame being the only program to hand them a loss.
• WIU has two student-athletes averaging double figures. Danni Nichols is leading the team in scoring with 16.7 points per game and Elizabeth Lutz is contributing 10.8 per points per game.
• Evan Zars leads the team in rebounds with 8.5 per game. Zars has nine blocks on the season.

 
SU

• The Mountaineers are 2-4 on the season, securing a win against McMurry in overtime in their first game of the season.
• Gabby Ivarra and Josline Hernandez lead Schreiner in scoring, each averaging 10.7 points per game. Ivarra is also averaging a double-double with 10.3 rebounds per game.
