CARDINALS' HUNT FOR CONFERENCE
More than midway through the season, the Cardinals are 12-12 overall and 8-7 in the Southland Conference, their best record at this point in the season since moving up to Division I in 2012-2013. UIW is looking to make it into the conference tournament for the first time since joining the SLC.

CLUTCH HENRY AGAINST COWGIRLS

CARDINALS ON THE LEADERBOARDS
Senior guard Imani Robinson's 13.8 points per game leads the Cardinals and ranks sixth in the SLC. Meanwhile, her 41.1 percent accuracy from the field puts her among the top 20. Junior guard Kara Speer's 7.1 rebounds are fifth on the Southland leaderboard. Seniors Robinson and Lunden Henry swat away 0.9 and 0.7 shots per game, respectively, putting them up among the top-20 for blocks in the conference. Angelica Wiggins' 0.5 blocks per game put her among the top 25 in the league following her three blocks, a career high, against Northwestern State. Victoria Jackson and Imani Robinson average 1.7 steals per contest which is tied for 12th in the conference.

UIW IN THE SOUTHLAND
UIW has maintained the fourth-best defense in the conference, limiting opponents to 60.2 points per game. The Cardinals also have the best 3-point field goal percentage and defense, shooting 31.3 percent from beyond the arc, making 5.6 threes per contest, while limiting opponents to 30 percent from the perimeter.

SCOUTING THE LADYJACKS
  • SFA has been atop the Southland standings this season with a 20-4 overall record and 13-2 in league play. Both of its losses were on the road against New Orleans and Sam Houston State.
  • The Ladyjacks boast the seventh-best scoring defense in the nation, holding opponents to 53 points per game. The bulk of their defense is in the paint, where they hold opponents to just 35.9 percent shooting.
