CONWAY, Ark. – The University of the Incarnate Word women's basketball team has embarked on its second conference road trip of the season, to Central Arkansas for a Wednesday night game against the Sugar Bears. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CT at the Farris Center.
The Cardinals are in search of their second road conference win of the season after ousting McNeese in Lake Charles to open SLC play. UCA, meanwhile, is looking for its first conference victory of the season, after starting play 0-4.

ROBINSON LEADS THE WAY
- Junior guard Imani Robinson continues to log major minutes for the Cardinals. Cementing herself as an all-around leader of the group.
- In her last five games, Robinson has scored a total of 68 points (13.6 per game), including a season-best 17 against UMASS (12/7).
- She has been getting to the line with great success in conference action, hitting 11 of 15 free throws (73.3 percent).
- Through her offensive resurgence over the last five outings, Robinson has remained a constant all-around threat for the Cardinals. She leads or is among the leaders, in all major statistical categories including first in points (137) assists (35), steals (24) free throws made (32) and attempted (47). She is second on the team in 3pt made (13) and blocks (6) and third on the team in total rebounds (57).
A STARR IS BORN
- Since the start of conference play, freshman forward Starr Omozee has emerged as a key contributor in the sixth woman role.
- Coming off the bench, Omozee is averaging nine points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in an average of 24 minutes through her first three SLC games.
- The Pflugerville HS product produced three double-doubles in her first six games, a UIW freshman record.
- Against GCU (11/9/18), she posted 11 points and 15 rebounds, becoming the first freshman besides Robinson (2016) to record a double-double in UIW DI history.
- She set multiple season-highs in her first game at the McDermott Center (vs. Houston, 11/16/18), scoring her second double-double (19 pts, 10 rebs) and making multiple threes in a game for the first time.
- She set the UIW DI record for most double-doubles by a freshman in a single season in just six games played when she hung 10 points and 11 rebounds on Weber State (11/21).
TOWER OF LUNDEN
- Since arriving in the Alamo City, junior forward Lunden Henry has established herself as the Cardinal's leading presence in the paint. She averages 7.8 points per game on a team-leading .410 shooting (48-117), while pulling in an average of 5.3 rebounds per contest.
- She enjoyed her most productive game of the season in UIW's last outing at McNeese, where she recorded 14 points and 11 rebounds for her first career Division I double-double.
- Lunden has proven to be a hard worker on the offensive glass, leading the team with 35 offensive rebounds this season, including a season-high six, which she has achieved twice this year – vs UTA (Dec. 2) and at McNeese (Jan. 2).
- She has now recorded at least five points and five rebounds in seven games this season and has achieved at least one of those statistics 13 out of her 14 games played this year.
SCOUTING CENTRAL ARKANSAS
- The Sugar Bears enter play as one of two teams, also McNeese, in the SLC without a conference win this season. They are 5-9 (0-4 SLC).
- This will be UCA's second home game of the conference season. It opened SLC play with a 73-65 loss to TAMU-CC on December 31.
- They are led by senior guard Kamry Orr. She leads the team, averaging 13.6 points per game, along with 4.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists.
- This will be the first and only meeting between UIW and UCA this season. The Sugar Bears lead the all-time series 5-0.
