SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team returns home on Tuesday after a West Coast trip last week.  They host Our Lady of the Lake University at McDermott Center with tip off set for 7 p.m.

The Cardinals (3-4) suffered a pair of close losses at Sacramento State and at California last week.  They are averaging 74.7 points per game and shooting 39.7 percent from the field.  Jontrell Walker (Aurora, IL/West Aurora HS) leads the team with 14.9 points and he is shooting 95.8 percent from the foul line.  Kyle Hittle (New Braunfels/New Braunfels HS) chips in with 13.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per game and he is knocking down 42.1 percent of his three-point attempts.  Mitchell Badillo (Houston/Cy Falls HS) is dishing out 5.2 assists and 2.7 steals per game.

The Saints (3-3) are coming off a loss at LSU-Alexandria on Saturday.  They are averaging 96.8 points per game and shoot 45.0 percent from the field.  Joe Jackson is averaging nearly a double-double with 17.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.8 blocks per game.  Olajuwon Garner is also averaging 17.2 points per game and has made 29 three-pointers while shooting 54.7 percent from beyond the arc.  They are forcing 25 turnovers per game.

The Cardinals and Saints have met three times previously with UIW winning all three games.  The last time the two teams played was on January 4, 2014 when the Cardinals won 100-85 at home.
