SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – The University of the Incarnate Word women's swimming and diving team will host again this weekend as they welcome the University of Houston to the Barshop Natatorium on Saturday at 2 p.m.
After a confident win against Southwestern University last weekend that saw the team bring home a total of 16 victories, the UIW women are hoping for a repeat performance against Houston University.
The Cardinals are strong in the distance events and feature an outstanding group of divers. Junior
Kali Lents (San Antonio/Reagan HS) broke her own school records last week in the 1 and 3-meter events. Freshman Kim Foster (Spring/Oak Ridge HS) was close behind Lents in both events. Senior
Emily Haddox (Cypress/Cypress Creek HS) gives the team a third option who can also score well at any meet.
The Cougars women are 3-3 on the year and are coming off a 159-125 loss to #2 Texas A&M on Thursday.
