The Incarnate Word Women's Swimming and Diving Team had two swimmers place top-six in separate championship finals to close out the 2026 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Conference Championships.
Jada Ashford took fourth in the 100 Yard Freestyle, just missing out on a podium finish. She was in second place at the turn but was just edged out in the final stretch as Ashford posted a time of 50.16 seconds.

Adriana Roldan placed sixth in the 200 Yard Butterfly Championship Final, finishing in 2:02.64. Kayle Radford earned points for Incarnate Word in the Consolation Final of the 200 Yard Butterfly, placing sixth in that heat with a finishing time of 2:05.63.
Lauren Matula swam the 1,650 Yard Freestyle in 17:21.70 to place 16th in the event. Tehani Molina came in four spots behind her teammate, finishing the race in 17:44.17.
To wrap up the 2026 MSPF Championships, Ashford led off the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team for the Cardinals that placed eighth in the finals. She teamed up with
Kirstin Schauss,
Harmonee Freelon, and KC Nwaeze to swim the relay in 3:27.07.
Incarnate Word heads to College Station, Texas next week, on March 6th and 7th, to compete in the NCAA Last Chance Meet. It is the last opportunity for the Cardinals to improve their qualifying times in advance of the NCAA Women's Swim and Dive Championships in the middle of March.
