The Incarnate Word Women's Swimming and Diving Team had a few notable results throughout Day 3 of the 2026 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday.
The Cardinals sit in 6th place at the event through 29 events.
Notable Results:
- Jada Ashford took sixth in the Women's 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:02.84.
- Kirstin Schauss won the Women's 100 Yard Butterfly Bonus Final with a time of 54.98 seconds. Despite not posting a fast enough qualifying time in the prelims, Schauss' time would have placed her in seventh place in the Championship Final.
- Laney Skorbanek picked up team points for Incarnate Word in the Women's 100 Yard Butterfly as well, placing fifth in the bonus final with a time of 56.66.
- The Cardinals had another bonus final winner as Adriana Roldan posted a time of 4:26.55 to win the Women's 400 Yard Individual Medley Bonus Final. Similarly to Schauss' situation, Roldan's time would have moved her up in the rankings as she would have finished fifth in the consolation final.Skrobanek and Schauss finished 1-2 in the Women's 100 Yard Backstroke Bonus Final with times of 55.71 and 56.02, respectively. Skrobanek's time was the ninth fastest of the finals and Schauss' was 13th.
- The Cardinals' relay team of Skrobanek, Ashford, Schauss, and KC Nwaeze combined to finish fifth in the Women's 400 Yard Medley Relay, touching the wall in 3:45.62.
The women return to the Pharr Stadium for the final day of the MSPF Swimming and Diving Championships tomorrow, February 28th.
