The Incarnate Word women's golf team started out the 2009 fall season with a third place finish at the 11th Annual NSU Golf Classic, shooting a team score of 707 in two rounds.
Sasha Kiger led the Cardinals with a score of 167 (shooting 86 in the first round and an 81 in the second), which earned her seventh place, overall, in the event.
Finishing in a tie for 14th, Jessica Cornish shot a 175 (88-87) and Audrey Sitterly shot two rounds of 90 for a score of 180 and a tie for 19th.
Meredith Kresta finished in 24th with a score of 185 and Lauren Taylor rounded out the UIW competitors with a 207, which tied her for 42nd.
Northeastern State University won the event with a score of 623. St. Mary's University finished second at 679.
The women's next action will be on October 4th and 5th in the Central Oklahoma Tournament.
