The Incarnate Word women's golf team shot +18 in the final round at Beaumont Country Club to finish in second place at the Cardinal Challenge.
The Cardinals finished the two-day event with a total score of 915 (307-302-306) to finish 51-over-par.
Victoria Bauer rose five spots on the final day to finish third in the tournament. She carded a 2-over-par, 74, to finish the Cardinal Challenge at +11.
Isabella Saenz, who was tied for the tournament lead after yesterday's action, finished sixth after an 82(+10) in the final round.
Jordan Sandoval was even par through the first 15 holes of her round and in position to post a top-five finish, but a trio of bogeys on the final three holes wrapped-up a final round three-over-par, 75, to finish in eighth place.
Rounding out the Cardinals' lineup were
Maria Jose Ramirez and
Arwen Settipalli, who finished in 18th and 20th place, respectively. Jose Ramirez shot a 79(+7) in this morning's round and Settipalli carded a 78(+6) to fill out UIW's score for the day and move both up by one spot on the leaderboard.
The Cardinals will now prep for the Southland Conference Championship, set to take place from April 13-15 in San Marcos, Texas at Kissing Tree Golf Club.
