SAN ANTONIO -- Freshman Aubrie Nolen was named the Southland Conference Golfer of the Week, the league announced Thursday afternoon.

The Southlake native led the Cardinals this past week at the Golf Iconic Classic, tying for 14th in the 104-player field with a 217 (+1), the best overall score of her collegiate career. She posted a 74 (+2) in round one before carding a 70 (-2) in the second round, her best round of the season. It also marked the best round by a Cardinal this season. She rounded out the tournament with a 73 (+1) to finish one over par for the best overall individual finish for Incarnate Word this season.

Nolen posted a 75.33 scoring average during the fall, the second-best mark on the team and the lowest among freshmen in the conference.

This marks Nolen's first conference honor, completing a freshman sweep for Incarnate Word as he joins men's golfer William Mangione as this week's Southland Conference Golfers of the Week.
