Cardinals Compete in Rounds One and Two at Betsy Rawls Invitational

AUSTIN, TX. – The Incarnate Word women's golf team opened play on the first day of competition at the Betsy Rawls Invitational hosted by the University of Texas at the University of Texas Golf Club

Play was suspended late Monday evening due to darkness with a few groups still left to complete the second round.

The Cardinals finished round one at 66-over, as Victoria Bauer opened with an 84 (+12) in the first round, including a birdie on the Par 3 eight hole, followed by an 86 (+14) from Isabella Saenz and an 89 (+17 from Maria Jose Ramirez.

Jordan Sandoval rebounded from an opening round 95 (+23) to card a second round 79 (+7) to move up the leaderboard.

Bauer followed with an identical score of 84 (=12) in the second round to sit 63rd overall in the individual standings, while Jose Ramirez and Saenz turned in matching scores of 88 (+16) in round two.

Incarnate Word will finish round two and begin round three on Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. CT. Rachel Seal will wrap up play with one final hole before the team begins round three.
