Biography
2012-13 (Junior): Cornish played in 20 competitive rounds for the Cardinals and posted a scoring average of 79.9. She had two top-10 finishes on the year at the UIW and Texas A&M International Tournaments. She finished in 17th place in the Lone Star Conference Championships and was named on to the LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll. Cornish was awarded the Division II ADA Academic Achievement Award.
2010-11 (Sophomore): Cornish played in 19 competitive rounds for the Cardinals. She posted a 78.2 scoring average. She had three top-10 finishes on the year at Nova Southeastern, Texas A&M-Commerce and Midwestern State. She also finished in 7th place at the Lone Star Conference Championships.
2009-10 (Freshman): Cornish was a regular in the UIW lineup missing just one tournament. She took second at Texas A&M-International while helping the team to a victory. She closed the season on a hot streak with three consecutive rounds in the 70s. She took 8th place at the Heartland Championships.
High School: Cornish played golf at Randolph High School and was a District and Regional champion.
Personal: Cornish is the daughter of Alice and Timothy Cornish and has two brothers, Alan and Jared. Jared also plays golf at UIW. She is studying sports management and was born on July 4, 1991.
