University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

This week’s UIW Female Athlete of the Week is Taryn Strahl.  She remained undefeated in 2016 in both singles and doubles this week. Strahl will now be in the running for UIW Female Athlete of the Year award which is voted on by the UIW coaches and the sports administration.
 
Strahl accounted for both of the team’s wins in a 6-1 loss to UTSA.  She teamed with Sarah Savedra to win, 7-5 at #2 doubles.  She came back at #5 singles and knocked off Charlene Tiwari in three sets 2-6, 6-2, 6-4.
 
Strahl is a senior psychology major from San Antonio’s Churchill High School.
