This week’s UIW Female Athlete of the Week, Aricka Adams, has led the Cardinals with two consecutive games as the leading scorer. Adams will be added to the pool of female athlete’s eligible for UIW Female Athlete of the Year award which is voted on by the UIW coaches and the sports administration.
In a strong 68-55 win at McNeese State, Adams posted 25 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Even though the Cardinals fell to Abilene Christian, the starting guard put up 18 points with another four rebounds and two assists. She went 8-of-15 from the field in both games and raised her season scoring average to 13.0 points per game.
Adams is a senior criminal justice major who also has a minor in psychology. The Round Rock, Texas native is a transfer from Temple Junior College.
