University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

Brianna Williams converted the go-ahead layup with 31 seconds remaining at Southeastern Louisiana and she is this week’s UIW Female Athlete of the Week.   It is the second time she has won the award this year and she is in the running for the UIW Female Athlete of the Year, which will be voted on by the UIW sports administration and the coaches.
 
Williams led the Cardinals with 19 points in her season high 37 minutes of play as the Cardinals snapped a 10-game losing streak, a 14-game conference road losing streak, a 17-game conference losing streak, and a 20-game road losing streak.  She tied her season high with seven rebounds and also dished out three assists.
 
Williams is a junior from Wylie, TX and is studying kinesiology.  She is a transfer from Collin County Community College.
