University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

Brianna Williams was the lone Cardinal to score in double figures in both games last week for the women’s basketball team and so she is the UIW Female Athlete of the Week.  She is now eligible for the UIW Female Athlete of the Year award that is voted on by UIW coaches and sports administrators.
 
Williams was the only Cardinal player to do anything in their loss at Purdue scoring 12 points and grabbing five rebounds.  The guard came off the bench at Texas Tech and poured in a season high 23 points while knocking down four three-pointers. 
 
Williams now leads the team with 12.7 points per game.  The junior is a transfer from Collin County Community College and is studying kinesiology.
