Jazmine Holman had quite the week for herself.  Consequently she is the UIW female athlete of the week for January 19 to January 25.
 
Against McNeese State, she put up a double-double but not the kind fans think of first.  To go with her 11 points she handed out 12 assists which were not only her career high but a team high for this season.  In that same game she had seven steals which were another personal career best.  She just missed one of those rare triple-doubles when she gathered in eight rebounds.
 
To get all those numbers she played 44 minutes in the double-overtime game against McNeese State and those minutes are now a team season high.
 
In the next outing, at Abilene Christian, she got her personal career best 14 points.
 
For the week she averaged 12.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 4.5 steals.
 
Holman is a freshman and came to UIW from Arlington’s Bowie High School.  Her UIW major is psychology.
