University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

Myah Antwi has been the Incarnate Word female athlete of the week once before.  And for the second time she has earned that honor but this time she is sharing the March 31 to April 6 recognition with teammate Gabrielle Estrada.
 
These two are track and field teammates.  They train together daily because they enter the same events.  And that was evident at the Skecher’s Invitational at SF Austin University.
 
Antwi got her day started with a toss of 12.64 meters (41-5.75) in the shot put for a ninth place finish.  She finished the day with a throw of 40.87 meters (134-1) in the hammer for an 11^th place and that is now the third best throw in UIW history.
 
In between she threw the discus 39.37 meters (129-2) to set a UIW school record.  For that effort she shared a 10^th place tie, and the record, with teammate Estrada.
 
Antwi is a freshman from Huntsville, Texas, High School.  She is studying biology at UIW.
