SAN ANTONIO – The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is set to host the University of the Incarnate Word football team on September 13, 2025 at the Alamodome.

This will be the second time the Cardinals and Roadrunners have matched up, with UTSA taking the first game on Aug. 31, 2019, in the Alamodome.
 
Since the cross-town rivals last faced each other in August of 2019, both programs have brought home a combined four conference championships, two in the Southland and two in Conference USA. UTSA has competed in four bowl games, while UIW has appeared in five FCS play-off games, including the semifinals in 2022.

The Cardinals will get their 2024 campaign underway on Aug. 31 against the University of Northern Colorado at Gayle & Tom Benson Stadium.
