EDWARDSVILLE, IL – The University of the Incarnate Word men's soccer team is set for a semi-final matchup against the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. CT. This is a rematch of last season's Ohio Valley Conference Championships in which SIUE took the crown.

- It had been over a month since the Cardinals scored a first half goal. UIW finally broke through scoring two in the first 45 against Liberty.
- Alejandro De La Torre has been arguably the most important player for the Cardinals. His shutout against the Flames in the quarter finals was his sixth of the season.
- Will Ansah has been a leader on the back line for UIW for many years. While he has created a few opportunities, making two assists this season, he scored his first goal of the season to put the Cards up 2-0 on Sunday.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
- The Cougars have been dominant all season earning the number one seed in the OVC and a first-round bye.
- This is the second season in a row the Cougars have earned the top seed in the tournament.
- Rob Gjelaj was named goalkeeper of the week six times this season and earned Ohio Valley Goalkeeper of the Year.
