SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word men's soccer team is back in Gayle and Tom Benson Stadium for two games this week. First the Cardinals will take on Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Thursday night at 7 p.m. CT and Lindenwood on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT.

- Thursday's matchup is a revenge game for the Cardinals who fell to SIUE in the Ohio Valley Conference Championship last season.
- Alejandro De La Torre was named a notable performer after making eight saves on the 21 shots he faced and only conceding one goal.

- SIUE has started OVC play undefeated heading to San Antonio with a 5-0 conference record.
- Two Cougars were named OVC Player of the week this past week.
- Nacho Abeal scored two goals in the final 10 minutes as SIUE went on the road to top Lindenwood 2-0 on Thursday. In two victories last week, Rob Gjelaj made 11 saves and conceded only an own goal.

- Lindenwood won their third conference game of the season over Western Illinois scoring in the 81st minute.
- Both of the Lions OVC loses came to SIUE.
- Ethan Blake was named a notable performer after scoring the game winning goal in the Lions last game.
