SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word men's soccer team is taking its unbeaten streak on the road this week for matchups against Southern Indiana University Edwardsville, Thursday at 6 p.m. CT, and Lindenwood on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT.
UIW
- UIW currently has a 3-0-1 record, and is in first place in the OVC.
- Sello Diphoko scored two goals last week and is now third in the nation for game winning goals.
- This week starts the longest road stretch for the Cardinals this season, as they will play four consecutive games away from the nest.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
- SIUE is coming into the week unbeaten with an 8-0-3 overall and 3-0-1 in conference record, tied for first with the Cardinals.
- Mitchell Murphy was named co-offensive player of the week after scoring three goals in the week one of which was a game sealing penalty kick against Liberty.
- Sam Gomez won goalkeeper of the week for the fifth time in seven weeks, recording 12 saves in two games.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
- The Lions are 2-1-1, only one game behind UIW for first place.
- Cole Hutson leads the team in goals with four on the year.
- Jens Haukeland is tied for most points with Hutson behind his two goals and four assists this season.
