SAN ANTONIO – Trevor Begue, Kevin Brown and Brandon Bowen of the University of the Incarnate Word football program were each invited to NFL rookie minicamps following the 2022 NLF Draft. Begue and Bowen are set to attend rookie minicamp with the Kansas City Chiefs, while Brown will go to the Baltimore Ravens.
 
Begue tallied 46 receptions for 620 yards and three touchdowns during the 2021 season as he helped guide UIW 10 wins and a second-round playoff appearance. He had a season-high 103 receiving yards against Sam Houston State University and a long reception of 67 yards against Nicholls State University.
 
Bowen played a big role in the Cardinals' defense for their historic 2021 season. He recorded 34 tackles, including 18 solo, and 3.5 sacks. He also forced one fumble and three pass breakups over the season. Bowen had a season-high 11 tackles against Youngstown State University.
 
Over his two years at UIW, Brown tallied 1,731 rushing yards, 517 receiving yards and 21  touchdowns. In 2021, he recorded 956 rushing yards, 312 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. The running back had a season-best 185 rushing yards, including a season-long 85-yard rush, against Nicholls.
