Dear Alyssa,
Â
As you begin this new and exciting chapter of your life, understand that you will be challenged more than you have ever been, pushed beyond your comfort zone, and unleash the person you were called to be. There will be hard days, easy days, days where you want to give up, and days where you couldn't imagine being anywhere else, but the good days will always outweigh the bad. You will be lucky enough to build friendships that last a lifetime, mentors who will shape you to the woman you are meant to be and create memories that you will remember, forever. You will become a role model to people who dream to become a division I collegiate athlete, and you will set an example to those who wish to follow in your steps. Remember that the road to get there will not be easy, but no good story is. Understand that the small challenges will not compare to the feeling of accomplishment you will have when all of your hard work pays off. Never forget that everything is what you chose to make it out to be, so why not make it the best. These years will fly by when it's all said and done, so embrace every second of every moment- you would do it all over again if you could. Remember why you chose to play the sport that you love and always have confidence in your abilities. You are proving to not only yourself but to others of how strong, driven and capable of accomplishing anything you are. You will become mentally, physically, and emotionally stronger each and every day, but most importantly, you will come out a champion- and that is something that no one can take away from you. Your best years are approaching, and your story is just beginning, but I can assure you that it will be a great one. Keep going, you're doing great.Â

Love,
Your future self
