Softball Ends Season Hosting Texas A&M-Corpus Christi This Weekend

SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word softball team ends their season hosting Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in a three-game Southland Conference series beginning with a doubleheader on Friday, May 4 at 5 p.m. Saturday's "Senior Day" is scheduled for noon.
 
FIRST PITCH
 
Prior to Saturday's contest, the Cardinals will honor their five seniors: Hailee Alaniz, Victoria Bratcher, Sarah Leal, Breana Nevarez, and Lacie Stevens.
 
Rain is in the forecast for Friday. If the doubleheader is washed out, then Senior Day will still go on prior to Saturday's doubleheader. Stay tuned to UIWCardinals.com for the latest information.

Kayla Sheridan leads the Islanders in batting average (.307) and hits (50), while Keagan Helson is tops in runs (25), doubles (8), home runs (6), and RBIs (21). In the circle, Ashley Smith is 3-20 with a 5.71 ERA and 47 strikeouts. As team, Corpus is ranked 10th in the SLC in batting average (.226) and 11th in ERA (4.86).

Delaney Guzman leads the team in runs scored (14), doubles (7), and home runs (6).
